Due to the pandemic, luxury travel has been put to a pause in hopes to contain Covid-19 from spreading. But luckily, now that the vaccine is being distributed to wider ranges of people, travel is beginning to resume. If you are still worrisome about out-of-state travel or are looking for a cheaper alternative, Texas has some of the best in-state vacation spots for your needs!

Starting off closest to home, the Hilton Anatole located in the Design District is the perfect getaway for families with kids of all ages. The Anatole’s pool, more like a waterpark, includes a kids splash and play, a lazy river and two 180-feet long water slides.

Now for the adults, if that’s not too appealing, no worries, they have a luxurious spa which offers everything relaxing from facials and mani-pedis to hot rock massages.  And at the end of the day, it is perfect walking distance to restaurants such as Ferris Wheelers Backyard & BBQ and Rodeo Goat.

The second one is the Extraordinary Treehouse located in Little Forest Hills and is walking distance to White Rock Lake. Hidden amongst the trees, this magical home captivates you in nature as if you are actually out in the woods/jungle.

With easy access to White Rock Lake comes the many amenities such as picnic areas, jogging and bike paths, as well as being near the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden.

The next one is a bit further in Ennis, Texas and it is called The Range Vintage Trailer Resort. It has the cutest vintage trailer rentals, or you can bring your own!

Their on-site activities include many outdoor activities such as walking trails, bass and trout fishing, a luxury pool, ponds and rowboats and finally turtle, horse, and goat spotting. They are also located near an abundance of attractions such as the Galaxy Drive In Movie Theater, the Ennis Farmers Market, and the Sugar Ridge Winery.

They also have plenty of local events such as Ennis Blues on Maine (June), Fourth of July parades, Crape Myrtle Festival (July), and a Margarita & Salsa Festival (August) if you want to schedule your stay on or around these.

The last one is the farther from home located in the Texas Hill Country 15 minutes west of Austin. It is a boutique hotel with little cottages called The Wayback.

During the day you can lounge poolside to cool off from the Texas heat Your stay includes access to their on-site restaurant with patio and outdoor lawns. After dinner, you can chill by the fire making s’mores for dessert!

We can all do our part to minimize the spread of Covid-19 by limiting our travels to in-state destinations this summer. There are plenty of unique trip opportunities in Texas that allow Texans to still get that vacation feeling!
